A significant development in this year was diversification of NABARD's client base with loan disbursement of Rs 3900 Cr to small finance banks and rs 2974 Cr to NBFCs/ NBFC-MFIS
NABARD mission is its new mission to promote sustainable and equitable agriculture and rural development through financial and non financial institutions
Agriculture is considered as one of the most basic input for conducting all agriculture development programmes . In India there is an immense need for proper agriculture credit as the economic condition of Indian farmers are very poor . Now a days the long term and short term credit needs of these institutions are also being met by NABARD . It was established in the year 1982 with the head office
NABARD further consolidated it's position during 2017-18 as a think tank for both center and state government ,which supports banking industry and other stake holders
